IAIP Mission Statement
The International Association of Insurance Professionals serves its members by providing professional education, an environment in which to build business alliances, and the opportunity to make connections with people of differing career paths and levels of experience in the insurance industry.
The Insurance Professionals of Monterey Bay welcomes you to our website. It is our goal to provide information to our members, and those men and women in the insurance industry interested in our association.
As stated in the Mission Statement above, the focus of the IAIP is to serve its members through education, networking and fellowship.
The NAIW (now known as IAIP) was founded in 1938 by Elsie B. Mayer and C. Bertha Rachofsky who joined with nine other Denver insurance women to form an organization for educational purposes. Through its favorable response they investigated the possibility of a national association. An organizational meeting was held in June of 1940 with sixty-five delegates representing 19 groups from 13 states. This meeting resulted in the formation of the National Association of Insurance Women. The constitution and bylaws were adopted, as well as the creed: Fellowship, Loyalty & Education.
2017 California Council Meeting
Hosted by: Insurance Professionals of Monterey Bay
Live the Monterey Dream in 2017!
The Insurance Professionals of Monterey Bay are excited to invite you to attend the 31st Annual California Council meeting being held in Seaside, CA on October 27 & 28th.
We are having the meeting at the Embassy Suites hotel. This hotel is within walking distance to the beach! It is only a few miles from Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf. Carmel, Pebble Beach and historic downtown Monterey are also close by. The hotel has been completely remodeled including all the guest rooms. Our meeting will be one of the first meetings held since the remodel.
We have a fun 2-days planned for you. Friday we will have educational classes followed by a Welcome Reception at the hotel with cocktails and appetizers. Then dinner is on your own but leave the driving to us. There will be a shuttle van to and from the Wharf and Cannery row for the evening. Saturday night will be the Awards Banquet Halloween Costume Party. So come in your favorite costume.
Our charity is the Franciscan Workers of Junipero Serra that supports a local soup kitchen for the homeless.
Finally, we will continue the tradition of the Silent Auction Basket fundraiser. The theme is up to you.
